The LMES PTO is excited to announce our continued community service project and partnerships with the Adopt-a-Shelf program at Southbury Food Bank & Middlebury Food Pantry!

The Southbury and Middlebury Food Banks provide groceries and pantry staples to families in need who reside in our community. The Adopt-a-Shelf program bridges schools, businesses and families with the Food Bank to increase community outreach and to keep the pantry shelves stocked.

LMES is the proud sponsor of the Mac-n-Cheese shelf

at the Southbury Food Bank!

What does this mean?!  The LMES community will be donating boxes of Mac-n-Cheese to the Southbury Food Bank each month. Our goal is to donate at least 40 boxes each month and we are committed to keeping the shelf stocked all 12 months of the year -some of the boxes collected during the school year will be saved to donate during the summer  months. Both towns will benefit from your generosity as the Southbury Food Bank will be working with the Middlebury Food Pantry to be sure our donations are distributed to both locations. Join us in our collective effort to help others while teaching our children to do the same! To fulfill our commitment to this program, each month a different grade level will be asked to donate boxes of Mac-n-Cheese.

Note the grade(s) and month(s) of your student(s). Donations will be collected through your child’s teacher and in the Main Office. We will send home monthly reminders for each grade level!
